Let me start this post off by saying: I LOVE MY PEOPLE IN ATLANTA! I made so many new creative friends at the Atlanta stop of the My City 4 Ways with Ford and ESSENCE.Read More
I am absolutely puumped! I have NEVER put rod sets this big in my hair and they came out amazing! Checkout the breakdown below!
I've filmed two perm rod set tutorials on YouTube and while they turned out beautifully, I never quite achieved super voluminous bouncy hair like I did with these!
The key to a successful rod set is starting on wet hair and unraveling on 100% set hair! MAJOR KEY ALERT! This foam styling lotion pairs perfectly for that "wet" factor! It's lightweight, not sticky, and doesn't leave any residue. Winner!
Take your time rodding each set, believe me it makes a huge difference! The dry time under a hooded dryer was only 35 minutes...I KNOW!
These huge rods dried super quickly. Usually in smaller rods you're dealing with your wet hair being wound around a rod SEVERAL times. But here, the rods are so big that the hair is able to dry in no time! Woot!

Zara is slowly becoming my favorite store for cute, feminine pieces!
While I was on holiday in Barcelona, I picked up this super cute two-piece.
If I go out in the evening I pair it with a light leather jacket or a thin shawl on warmer nights.

Welcome back for another style post! Checkout how I prepare for my Fourth of July weekend with three looks. From boardroom to BBQ!
This outfit is perfect for casual Fridays at work. Button-up shirts don't have to be boring--step it up with a funky print or bold color! H&M shirts run very VERY small. If you're fairly busty you may need to go a size up.
This red, white, and blue crop top is a fun way to stay on theme and combat this crazy Atlanta heat! I LOVE H&M's denim collection. Being petite with a little bum these fit PERFECTLY!
Most Fourth of July celebrations are centered around a pool! H&M had this cute one piece that was perfect for this weekend! I'm partial to bikinis but this one piece is a keeper, for sure!
SOUND OFF: What are your plans for the weekend?! Who's having the BBQ? Save me a plate!
¡Hola! As you can tell by my cute crop top and lil booty shorts it is officially SUMMER! This chocolate melts in this Atlanta sun, honey!
While I love my twist outs and allalat, these days protective styles are where it's at.
Keeping my hair in these twists has made working out so much easier AND with this ruthless Georgia sun, it makes things so much cooler.
I have the JUICE on how to keep those twists looking like day one, son! Checkout the full tutorial below for the tea!
Summer is here in Atlanta and honestly, I am REACHING having this long (but über CUTE!) Material Girl one-piece from Macy's. For more on style, beauty and travel, subscribe HERE!
When I put this look together, I initially styled it with some strappy black BCBG sandals. But THEN, my eye caught these fun neon yellow pumps I haven't rocked in a while. So, whip them out: I did!
The color modesty in the garment lets you have more fun in the accessories department! The addition of these fun, bright shoes really brings this whole summer-time foine look together!
